Our Mission:
" I am seeking. I am striving. |
Serving Artists & Our Community for Over 25 yrs!
On April 22, 1992, at the Bloomsburg Town Hall, founder Dorothy Wilson met with several other area artists who were interested in creating an art league. This group met for several months as a steering committee for this purpose. A Board of Directors and Officers was formed, and the constitution and by-laws were established. On November 30, 1992, the first general meeting of the North Mountain Art League was held in Bloomsburg.
Since then, we have grown into one of the largest and well known art leagues in the area. We help promote a professional creative environment by working together to form positive relationships with many local businesses and other organizations. |
These relationships help in cultivating many different places and venues to display artwork and increase artist exposure throughout the community.
Some of these places include a large collective booth at the Bloomsburg Fair, several downtown Bloomsburg businesses such as, Fog & Flame Coffee Shop, and Columbia County Courthouse. just to name a few. We also have monthly rotating exhibitions at the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital. We meet the third Monday of the month. Come and join us at one of our next meeting as a guest and see if you would like to become a member! |
