Dear members,
Some good news on the horizon for the North Mountain Art League. We should be gradually re-populating our established venues with the artwork of our members. I visited Fog & Flame Coffee shop today and spoke with the owner, Aaron, who hopes to re-open in a few weeks. Mike Silver is our administrator there and will contact those members who will be first in to display their work. Berwick Hospital and Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital did not close but were restricted and the policy I felt was best in March was to put artwork rotations on hold until the infection numbers dropped. I believe that we can start the artist's rotations again at both beginning in October. I would like to stress that anyone who feels uncomfortable entering any venue, masked and gloved or not, can decline participation unconditionally. |
Those who wish to participate must realize that masks are required to enter most buildings, even to drop off or pick up any work. Any member who lost their time to display scheduled in any venue should be given first consideration to re-schedule.
Meetings are another issue. We should not jump the gun and potentially expose anyone to infection for the sake of a monthly meeting. For that reason I ask that any questions or issues be directed to me for resolution. Until we can safely gather as we have prior to March 2020, emails, texts and phone conversations will have to do. I hope you are all well and safe, let's keep it that way. Let's work together and resume what we do best. - Mark |
